Bluebell summer bookings

The kennel is open and at the moment we have some summer availability if you need us.  The kennel was originally closed for the first two weeks of August as we were planning a family holiday but we are not now going away this summer.

If you need to cancel or alter any of your booked dates please let us know.

Many thanks and see you soon!

I also thought I would share with you that I can't sit down for a minute without all of our four dogs arriving!

Bluebell plans and 2021

Some of you know that at the end of last year we were thinking about selling our kennels.  We are pleased to let you know that we are now staying and the kennel will continue to run!

We have decided to have some closure periods in the year for family time, which we will always plan well ahead and put on the Times and Prices page of the website.   Dates to autumn 2021 are already there.

We have the bookings diary for 2021 up and running, so please book as usual.

Look forward to seeing your dogs and you soon!

Here is a recent picture of our beautiful Devi, she is now 18 months old.

New kennel procedures

We hope you are all keeping safe and well.

The kennel is open from this weekend, 4 July. We appreciate you may have bookings that you no longer need for this summer.  Please will you let us know if your plans have changed.

We will be open throughout this summer now.

During this time of Covid-19 we are following new guidelines from Welsh Government for animal businesses and need to make you aware of the following:

  • Only one client should be on the premises at a time.  If when you arrive another client is here, please stay in your car or at a safe distance until they have left.
  • We can email the form to you in advance to complete and bring with you.  Please also ensure that your dog’s vaccination card is up to date and has their microchip number clearly written in it.
  • We will do as much as we can outside.  Hand sanitiser is available on the kennel reception desk, please use it if you come inside and are completing any paperwork.  If you are shielding, then if you let us know in advance we can arrange to collect your dog from your car without you getting out at all.
  • Please limit what you bring with your dog.  Please bring their vaccination card, their food, and any items such as collars, harnesses and muzzles which are very specific to your dog.  If you do wish to bring blankets or toys please ensure they are easily washable as we are required to do this! We have plenty of bedding here to keep your dog comfortable.
  • Please pay by card, as we are required to avoid cash payments where possible.
  • No entrance will be allowed to the kennel building beyond the reception area.

For further information on the guidance, please see http://www.awnwales.org/guidance-for-animal-related-businesses/

Here are three of our own dogs enjoying the sun last week.

Keep safe and hope to see your dogs and you soon.

Bluebell - current procedures

Wishing you and your families all the best during these strange times.
Whilst our kennel is obviously extremely quiet, we are open if you need us.
We have introduced some precautions for everyone's benefit:
  • Please only one person per dog come into the reception area.
  • Please use the hand sanitiser and try to keep a 2m distance.
  • We can complete paperwork by phone / electronically and collect your dog directly from your car if you prefer, or if you are self-isolating.
  • We are currently not offering kennel viewings.
We are of course disinfecting the reception area frequently and our kennels are always kept clean and hygienic.
Stay safe and take care.
