A record of vaccination dates

We will ask you for your dog's vaccination dates (both for the boosters and for kennel cough) at the point of booking, unless we have a record of the dates already.

This is because more than once we have had several situations where dogs turn up for bookings whose owners were confident that the dog was fully vaccinated and on checking the card they were not.  In these circumstances we are unable to take the dog in to the kennels, which can cause a problem at the time for the owner.  We are trying to find ways to stop this happening.

Dog microchipping service

You might be interested to know that James can microchip your dog for you - either during a stay with us or by arrangement.  The price for this is just £15.

The microchip is then registered with Petlog at the Kennel Club.

Please contact us for more information.

Pups gone to their new homes

Ginger and Teddy's eight puppies have all now gone off to their new homes and we are confident that they will all be very happy.

We are looking forward to hearing news of them or maybe seeing them back at our kennels in the future.

Keep an eye out for news of future litters!

Bookings during busy periods

If you have holiday dates lined up please get your dogs booked in, especially for the school holiday periods.

Please let us know whether your dogs will be arriving and leaving during the morning or afternoon opening times.  We are open Mon-Sat 9-10.30 and 4.30-6 and in the afternoons 4.30-6 on Sundays. Bank holiday hours are always published in advance on our times and prices page.

If your plans change please just let us know as soon as you can.

One change this year is that we have decided that during school holidays we need 72 hours notice for cancellations or changes to dates, or we will ask you to pay for the booking you had made.  We hope you will understand that this is because we are probably turning away other bookings during these busy times and it gives us a chance to re-let the kennel.

See you soon!

Pups play outside

Our labrador pups are now 7.5 weeks and it is only a week until they all go to their new homes.

This week they have been checked by the vet, have received their first vaccinations, and we have microchipped them all.

Today we took them all outside to play on the grass for the first time and they loved it!
